YOU’LL NEVER WALK ALONE

Probably if you like football(soccer for Americans), you will think that I will write about Liverpool FC, a very famous English football team, haha, but not is something deeper than the passion of this team supporters.
I was in the Lord of the Miracles procession, this a very popular religious festivity in my country (PERU) which got extended in many countries around the world, especially in USA, and yesterday I was in Kendall, Miami, Florida, before this procession, as usual we participate in a mass, I am not a mass continues participant, but I studied on a catholic school, and we used to get mass every week and the regular task was listen the priest’s sermon and write about it to expose it in class later on, so believe me, I listened carefully many times a priest’s sermon, but the one I listen yesterday was a special one.
Why? In the last weeks I got some difficulties, which let me down me very much, but thanks to a few happenings, I got much better, but yesterday that sermon was very special, because this priest was talking that we are not thankful, we think that we are always alone, that god only remember those people whom spend their time praying, or those whom assists to the church every Sunday, and that dear readers is totally wrong.
How many times we think that we cannot solve a misfortune, that everything is over and there is nothing to do about it, and suddenly you start to calm yourself and a solution appears, and with a lot of work the things start to turn over positively, or something wrong happens and you trying to look for an explanation why this happen now, when everything was doing so good, and later something different appears and you start to think in another options, which looks better and you smile back again, I do not know that if this happened to you guys before, but it happened to me and I do not pray every day, and I do not assist to the church continuously or I am not consider myself a religious man, but I think that god never let us down, that in one way or another he is whit us, just sometimes we do not realize or we do not want to see because we  are incredulous.
He probably is not asking you to be an active church participant or something like that, he just is asking you to believe that is something supreme up there, and you just need to believe, does not matter what religion we are, in the end all of them end up on the same thing, believe on something divine, that is there  for us and we need to be just  thankful, first able because you still alive how many people get dead in a short age?, that we are not blind, deaf-mute, non armed man, etc; we are not having some physical difficulties like another people whom in spite of those difficulties they  still smiling and fighting to be better every day, we got talents that some people does not have and probably they look at you with an understandable jealousy, but what do we do about it we should say just thanks,  why we do not start to say every morning thanks dude yes you up there thanks, I do not think we need to memorize a prayer or go to a special place for it, just say from anyplace you are, THANKS! and then smile keep walking and do something with your talents just to make another person feel better or help without looking a reward just because the guy up there need help as well, let’s help him to make this world a better place to live, and everything you do, do it good making your best effort and offer it to him making him smile as well, believe me he is not expecting something  from you  but if you are conscious you will like people thank you if you help them and probably that person will help you next time if you need it, right!. So what are you waiting for?
Thanks man?  Yes the one with the big beard, you the one up there thanks, because I do not feel alone anymore.

Jorge Horna.
