And other awards like best green destination in South America in 2011 and best ecotourism destination in Latin America in 2010 by the World Travel Awards, the National Geographic Magazine mention it as one of the top trips in the world last year, and finally the probably best magazine of tourism in the world “TRAVEL+LEISURE” from U.S.A. consider the Cusco city as the best tourism destination in America Continent for the next 10 years, being big part of this consideration of course  The Sacred Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.

Based on all of this information we are providing, definitely Machu Picchu must be written on your travel list as the first one, but maybe not only because a bunch of organizations specialized on tourism flatter this beautiful place with a lot of recognitions, you should visit it because Machu Picchu is one of the a few places in this planet which combine perfectly the history, beauty and nature, by example you can travel to the Caribbean and visit beautiful beaches, travel to Africa and enjoy the nature or travel to Europe to get amazed with all the history it shows, the Sanctuary of Machu Picchu will captivate you with a beautiful and stunning  view as soon as you arrive to this place, the perfect match between the majestic scenery of its surrounding vegetation and the interesting pre-Hispanic remains it hosts, rarely you can see it everywhere, it’s astonishing beauty could be the main reason why people visit it.

Machu Picchu shows a beautiful nature around it, a large portion of vegetation adorn the whole sanctuary, it is home of many spectacular creatures as the Gallito de las rocas (Cockerel of the rocks) this is the Peruvian National bird, also the Andean bear (the only South American bear), the rare Sachacabra( small deer) and more of 300 species of bird. Its flora is particular diverse and interesting as well around of 200 species of orchid are registered in the Sanctuary.
