YOU GET WHAT YOU GIVE

In 2008, I started working in Starboard Cruise Services, is a company concessionary in cruise ships, they offer service in the cruise ship’s duty free shops, is a very wanted job for the crewmembers, due to the equivalent work-payment is quite fair in comparison with other jobs on board.

After I was working for 7 years in the housekeeping department (Sh…. Job), I resigned and I applied for the duty free shops job, I was accepted and hired, I remembered that in my first contract I worked like I was working in Housekeeping that is means like a Hebrew building the pyramids, ohhh yeah working hard; but that helps me to get promoted to Asst. Shop Mgr. for the next contract. My first 2 contracts I worked on Holland America Cruise Lines, in my first time as an Asst. Mgr. my position partner it means the other Asst. Mgr. was an Indian guy, he was already some contracts doing the same job so he was close to become Manager, he got a spectacular girlfriend, he was very skillful, he used to handle the computer very well, he used to spend his money just in luxury due to his father got a lot of money, and he was waiting for a great part of an economic bequest  so he was not really worried to save some money for the future. But, as usual the word but appears, he was complaining every day, why that old captain has a hotter girlfriend than mine?, why I took 4 contracts to become Asst. Mgr. and you only one? (he was talking about me), why our team is so crappie?, why we don’t get better salary I would like to buy a Hublot once in my life, I have just a cheap Brietling and a shitty TAG( each one costed 3000 dollars approximately) the truth is I couldn’t stand him, but he was teaching me many things about my new job so probably that is why I didn’t tell him F………. off.

He was the most hated person in the Holland America duty free shops, he had a really bad name, and it is true he never showed respect to the employees; he never made a favor, yes to me he made it but guess who was doing the whole job, for me was fine because I was learning, it means he won’t make a favor for you if it was not convenience for him; he was not amenable at all with his girlfriend who was a beautiful blond Croatian girl, who probably first time on ships saw a tanned man, black hair, dark eyes and she fell in love deeply without know he was a chauvinist man, his mother was calling him to the ship once a week spending a lot of money, he didn’t use to call her even mention her, he spent 3000 dollars on a watch that it just tell the time and refused to spend 200 dollars on a watch for his mother who gave him life( all this was told by the girlfriend).

But why I say this?, because sometimes I complaint about things happen to me, and I say that I really give so much from me to get what I expect, probably not, what think about this man who I refer in the story, that he really give so much from him to his girlfriend, his mom and the employees to expect to get what he wants, and remember that apparently his life is not bad he got things that everybody wants, but probably god or the life itself is so cruel  to don’t let him to perceive it, that is why after everything he got he is so selfish that he can’t realize how lucky he is, sounds sad right, but is what it is, be aware what you give to others to expect to feel good with what you get .

Remember this life law; you reap what you sow, if you yell they will yell back to you probably you are deaf; if you work hard your boss will reward you, well a good boss; if you offer love the will love you a lot, if you understand they will understand you, if you offer a sincere and unconditional friendship you will get it back in the same way from your good friends; if you came to a birthday party with a gift you will get double cake, if you study you will success, if you know that you are being a good person the GUY from up there will not leave you alone, people say that you have to give without expect nothing back, probably this sounds to biblical, maybe is better to say if you give be cool that you will get it back the time you need it, but never ever expect something if you never give anything from you, or probably you get it but the cruel life will make you don’t realize that you got it like the Indian guy I was talking about. Dear readers don’t be cheeky on this life you will receive as much as you give, now I wrote so much that I know that I will get a lot of comments and likes from you.
